Do you already know what you want to do after school? Your final school-leaving exam is round the corner and it's time to think about this question. When doing work experience for career guidance, you'll team up with other participants to found a fictitious start-up.

The application period for 2025 has ended. Starting in autumn, we will gladly receive your application for "Work experience for career guidance" in 2026.
Wide-ranging remits
Obtain quotations, compare them for machines, raw materials and the various components of the products we make in-house and select suitable suppliers:
Supplier management – selection, support and development of suppliers
Successful negotiations – independently conduct price and contract negotiations with suppliers
Procurement – we supply Blum with materials
Communications hub – close cooperation with in-house departments (e.g. Engineering, Quality Management, Scheduling and Logistics) and consult globally with our subsidiaries and international suppliers
Sustainability – our environment is important to us and we therefore set a strong focus on buying local so we leave a green footprint in the long term as well
Gain an insight into the world of finance at Blum and calculate the costs of your start-up-product:

Beer Game – familiarise yourself with materials management at Blum and play a game to learn how the buying behaviour of customers directly impacts on requirements and production planning
Requirements planning – find out how a high-quality requirements forecast is developed for your start-up
Production planning – learn the best way of manufacturing the products for your start-up
Warehousing – discover the different storage methods and see them for yourself on site so you can decide which one is most suitable for your start-up
